MAIN EVENT: MISAEL LOPEZ(6-0) VS GEORGE ROYBAL(0-2)

WEIGHT: 133LBS PRO

ROUNDS: 6 THREE MINUTE ROUNDS

RD1: Misael Lopez looks to keep his young undefeated record perfect as he looks to be in great shape just a month out from his last fight with Lance Williams. George Roybal comes out to the ring, seemingly unaffected by the praise and deserved hype in Misael Lopez.

As the opening bell sounds, Lopez finds himself in a feeling out stage similar to the last few fights we’ve seen him in. A big right hand lands for Lopez and Roybal answers back but that just awakens Lopez and his power punching. Roybal does look game for the fight though but the speed of Lopez may prove to be too much from the looks of it.

Roybal lands his first right hook clean and that again gets a response from Lopez in the way of shoe shining action as he worked his way upstairs. Lopez is now coming forward with mass aggression and lands multiple power shots upstairs on Roybal and the only thing that saves him from the first-round finish is the bell itself.

RD2: Lopez picks up where he left off in the first as he begins to stalk and look for his over hand right. Roybal lands a left but it is answered with two shots from Lopez. Misael feeds off the crowd. As they begin to get loud he starts to pick up the pace. The body work is really hurting Roybal at this point. To Roybals’ credit though, he seems to be recovering quick after the onslaughts of Lopez. Roybal lands his most meaningful shot but once again Lopez answers with three to four power punches of his own. Roybal is showing a lot of toughness against the young rising star and survives the second round.

RD3: Lopez has done some great body work through the first two rounds and I expect we start to see the consequences of that, already, here in the third round. Roybal eats a jab at the start of the third and then both fighters settle in yet again. Circling in the middle Lopez seems to be waiting for an opening for another offensive and he finds it at about one minute of round three. Roybal is now returning less than he was in the first two rounds and Lopez is staying relentless to the body as he looks to finish his second straight opponent with body shots in the third round. Which is exactly what he does after a devastating flurry in the corner flattens Roybal on the canvas and finishes the fight. Misael Lopez does what Lopez is beginning to be known for. Dispatching his opponents from the fight as fast as he can. The mean streak is real. Lopez by TKO in the third.
